The brand is backed by the independent family business Finnern from Verden, which has been on the market as a traditional company for over 40 years. With our leading brands Miamor and KATTOVIT in the cat food sector and RINTI in the dog food sector, we set standards in the premium pet food segment. These brands form the foundation of the Finnern product line. We represent the philosophy that high-quality food for our four-legged friends should primarily consist of fresh meat and carefully selected, nutritious ingredients. In short, we guarantee that our products are free of unnecessary additives that are not essential for our animals.

Our development philosophy is based on the fact that every new food and every innovative recipe first passes the critical palate of our own cats. These in-house taste tests ensure that we only offer products that are not only nutritious, but also extremely tasty for your loyal companions. At the same time, it proves how confident we are in the quality of our products.
To support our assessments, we also include feedback from cat owners across Germany via household panels. This method allows us to capture a wide range of opinions and preferences, so that our products enjoy high acceptance among a wide range of cats.
Only after our internal tests and reviews by external pet owners show consistently positive results do we decide to add a new product to our range. This way we ensure that every KATTOVIT product not only meets our high standards, but also wins the hearts (and stomachs) of cats.
At KATTOVIT, all raw materials come from animals that are also intended for human consumption. By using the entire usable animal (with the exception of claws, hooves or feathers, for example), we use valuable resources efficiently and responsibly.
Our almost completely recyclable cans are a testament to our long-standing commitment to sustainable packaging. In addition, we are continuously improving our packaging processes, for example by reducing the size of packaging bags or using thinner cardboard. We are currently converting our pouches to monomaterial packaging to increase recyclability.
Our commitment extends far beyond the production processes. From the use of renewable energy in our office buildings to supporting local animal shelters and a paperless office routine, we focus on sustainability in every area of our company - which underlines our comprehensive approach.
What use is the healthiest special diet if the cat doesn't like the food?
To ensure that cats enjoy eating unfamiliar special food, the individual varieties of our special food are composed in such a way that a high level of acceptance is guaranteed.
Often, the special diet must remain the main component of the daily diet because the cat's health problems are usually not temporary. For this reason, KATTOVIT is designed as a complete food in the sense of a complete feed. It therefore contains everything that is needed to maintain health.
